I’ve just written a mini review of the Z Cam S1 video camera, a very promising 360° VR camera which I’ve recently acquired. I’ll be posting a follow-up article after I have a chance to shoot more with it.
360° DSLR panorama converted to tiny planet view, shot at Joshua Tree National Park, California.
Dreams came true last month, for people who like their video format VHS, and their movies titled “Jerry Maguire.” The inspired tapeheads of Everything Is Terrible created a video rental store, fully stocked with 14,000 of copies of one title: “Jerry Maguire,” VHS only. Click the image above to see it in 360° VR splendor.
For Forbes, I recently shot 360° VR photos of the CBRE offices in the Los Angeles area (Glendale); a gorgeous renovated space inside the landmark Art Deco Masonic Temple on Brand Boulevard. Here’s an alternative view; click on the photo above to see an interactive 360° version. More about Rick Caruso’s renovation of the building here.
Here’s a recent 360° panorama I shot at Ron Finley’s gardens in Los Angeles. Ron is an activist who encourages people to create gardens in their own communities, especially in lower-income urban neighborhoods. Check out his site for more about the inspiring, important work that he does.

Here’s a panorama I recently shot near the border of the Los Angeles neighborhoods Highland Park and Mount Washington–right across the street from Sycamore Grove Park.
I recently visited Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles to shoot a virtual tour for the amazing non-profit writing and tutoring organization, 826LA. A number of illustrious students have walked the halls of M.A.H.S.—founded in 1910—including Jackson Pollock and Frank Capra.
Click the panoramic photo above to explore the Writers Room, and to visit other rooms at the school. And when in L.A., be sure to visit one of 826LA’s two Time Travel Marts–there’s one in Echo Park, and another in Mar Vista. They have a sister location in Chicago, The Wicker Park Secret Agent Supply Co., and on the East Coast, you’ll find 826nyc’s Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co.
