I recently visited Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles to shoot a virtual tour for the amazing non-profit writing and tutoring organization, 826LA. A number of illustrious students have walked the halls of M.A.H.S.—founded in 1910—including Jackson Pollock and Frank Capra. 826LA has a writing program that conducts workshops in the classroom shown above.
When in L.A., be sure to visit one of 826LA’s two Time Travel Marts–there’s one in Echo Park, and another in Mar Vista. They have a sister location in Chicago, The Wicker Park Secret Agent Supply Co., and on the East Coast, you’ll find 826nyc’s Brooklyn Superhero Supply Co.
